At Cepton, we believe in empowering the next generation of engineers through first-hand experience with cutting edge technologies. We’re honored to support the program as an official sponsor and exclusive lidar supplier while offering our expertise to dedicated student teams from 10 universities in North America.

Our input is being used to develop an Autonomous vehicle that can navigate urban driving courses as described by SAE Standard (J3016™) Level 4 automation. It’s inspiring to see students and faculty members excited and engaged in Cepton’s technologies and to hear how they plan to use our lidar equipment. This competition gives its participants an invaluable view into how the industry uses this technology to build vehicles today, something Cepton feels passionate about as we work towards ensuring safe autonomous vehicles of the future.
